Weeknd Windup

Okay there is a lot to get through. The only way to get through it all is good ol' chronological order. So on Friday night i went to see the Dark Knight with Em. It was (with no exaggeration) the best movie i have ever seen. Ever made even. Heath was that good that i now reenact all my favourite joker scenes. My favourite bit is his magic trick. Neat. There is more twists and turns in the movie than Kelly's driving.

Now onto the juicy stuff. Saturday started in reasonably good style, with the shitty weather forecast holding back most of the day. It was a swapped game, so rezzies played first and colts got to enjoy the twilight fixture in front of at least triple the crowd we usually get. Prossy boosted the side with his inclusion, as did Ryan Piersson.

We absolutely raped in the first quarter, 6 goals to none. The second quarter wasnt so good, with Margs nabbing the first four goals, but we got back on top to get the next 3, and a few extra behinds to go with it. Then half time came, but not before Pagey earned himself a Yellow Card with a bit of smishing. I maintain that Kelly has rubbed off on him. Nevertheless everyone was feeling pretty good about themselves. I applied extra deepheat on my hammy and back and rode the bike at half time to keep everything warm.

The next quarter we kicked in where we began and our passing was unselfish and skillful. Then, thanks to Pagey, i broke out of the ball up with the ball and handballed to Chal on the wing. Wanting to be a team player i went to put on the shepherd, then, ping. Goodbye hamstring. So with Pagey and myself off for the 3rd quarter, everyone stood up and we extended our lead nicely. The last quarter went smoothly, with another increase in the lead and the game in our hands, a 12 goal victory. Tasted sweet! After the game, the BOG was awarded to Harbeck and him and Pagey gave good speeches as we obtained the East Perth Trophy. Matt's award was a shitty book on East Perth's history ahah ripped off. Here's my picks;

Matt 'Birdman' Harbeck. Got into the game the longer it went, and used his highflying ability many times to win us the ball. His six goals didnt hurt his effort either.

Ryan 'Milky Bar Kid' Piersson. Played the role of hardnut nicely, and shat on many Margs players. Took a couple of grabs too.

Dylan 'Dildo' Pross. Playing his first game for the year out of full forward, providing us the target that Mr 10 usually would. His marking on the lead was phenomenal, his kicking, not so much so.

It ended up being a cleansweep, with league and rezzies pulling through also. This set the stage for another great saturday night at the footy club. I gotta run, but i will update about the night this arvo.
